This question about Installation of Foswiki: Asked
Foswiki-1.0.9-No web left bar
I have installed Foswiki-1.0.9 version on my centos box. When I browse my site i can able to see the home page but there is no webleftbar found. Please see the attached image for your reference.
Do I need to install any plugins to fix this?

Foswiki 1.0.9 is extremely old, and no longer supported. It has known security issues. Please consider upgrading to 1.1.9.

Thanks for the quick reply.
We have already a TWiki-5 server running. I want to migrate it to Foswiki and want to check the
KinoSearchPlugin functionality. Can I migrate TWiki-5 to Foswiki-1.1.9?

I don't believe there are any changes betweeen Foswiki 1.0 and 1.1 that would prevent a migration. The process would be the same for both release, install Foswiki and get it running, install any required plugins, and then copy over the data webs.

Hi George,
I have installed Foswiki-1.1.9, Now TWiki and Foswiki both are running parallel on my
CentOs box.
Now I have moved TWiki's data content except TWiki folder to Foswiki's data directory and did symlink all subdirs of Foswiki's data directory (except TWIki) back to the TWiki/data directory. Also did the same for pub directory.
Now my TWiki site is working fine. But when i click on foswiki's askwiki link I got bellow error:
Warning: Can't find topic %SHAREDWEB%.WebLeftBar
Am I missing anything?

Check the TWiki web to see if there is a SHAREDWEB preference set up. If so copy that into
SitePreferences (Main is defined in configure)
